Oprah gives away free Xbox 360 Kinect bundles

updated 09:55 pm EDT, Wed October 20, 2010

Bundles set to ship to public on Nov. 4

After making a guest appearance last week on The Daily Show for an audience giveaway, TV host Oprah Winfrey followed-up with an Xbox gift for members of her own audience. Microsoft provided its Xbox 360 consoles bundled with the upcoming Kinect controllers, which will be provided to each guest in Oprah's studio for her Tuesday show.

The Kinect is not scheduled to ship for several more weeks, with the bundle shipping in the US for $300. It is unclear if the audience received pre-release devices, or the company simply provided vouchers or promises to ship the bundles as they become available on November 4. [via Seattle Pi]
