Aspyr to bring Civilization V to Mac for holidays

updated 08:25 pm EDT, Tue October 19, 2010

40 percent off sale on other strategy games

Mac game powerhouse Aspyr is both developing and publishing the next instalment of Sid Meier's popular "Civilization" series, Civilization V, and plans to have it available for the Mac in time for the holidays.

The turn-based strategy game's fifth edition has only been available for Windows since September, marking a rapid turnaround to a native Mac version. The new version features hexagonal tiles rather than square ones as seen in previous editions, an overhauled combat system, non-player-character (NPC) city-states and improvements in border and road expansion.

Although pricing and pre-order dates on the new edition have not yet been announced, Aspyr will be celebrating the forthcoming release by discounting their entire Mac Strategy line on GameAgent.com from now until November 2nd.

    On Steam please...

Hope Civilization V go for Steam Store, so that who bought it for PC can also now download it to play it on Mac.
