11.6.2 corrects faulty previous patch
Microsoft has issued a patch for Office 2004 only, to enhance security and correct problems with a previous patch. Version 11.6.2 covers the same issues as 11.6.1 -- covering MS security bulletins MS10-079 and MS10-080 -- covering a total of 24 security issues that could lead to execution of malicious remote code.
Users of the previous patch with Microsoft Office 2004 reported various problems after updating, including being unable to open Excel spreadsheets with Visual Basic macros in them or incomplete updates. Users of the 2008 edition did not report such issues.
Users wishing to update must have previously installed the 11.6.0 update. The update will appear to Office 2004 users through AutoUpdate.

Dont' do it...
It should be obvious but I will point out that they like to cripple older versions of their software with "Updates" or "Patches". If you read what happened after the 11.6.1.

I can hear the MacBU now, "Oh goodness, did we do that? Thilly us. We'll get right on a fix." I am happily running on 11.2 thank you very much... The only reason they update 6 year old software is to break it!
