updated 10:55 am EDT, Fri October 15, 2010

Cricket Crosswave Mi-Fi now shipping

Cricket has made good on its promise of shipping the Crosswave mobile hotspot. It can share its 3G data connection by way of 802.11b/g Wi-Fi with up to three devices and a fourth that's hard-wired. It gets a 33-foot range and can support download speeds of up to 3.1Mbps and upload speeds of 1.8Mbps.

The device supports Macs and Windows PCs for setup and should last three hours under its own power. Standby time is said to be 90 hours. A microSD memory card slot supports up to 32GB of storage.

The price also remains as expected, costing $105 after either a web-only or mail-in $45 rebate.
