Seventh Mac OS X 10.6.5 beta shows no major differences

Final update could arrive by Oct. 20th

Apple is seeding a seventh build of Mac OS X 10.6.5 to developers, 10H555. The code makes no significant changes, and has no known issues. Developers are being asked to continue testing many of the same areas as before, in particular printing, QuickTime, Time Machine, 3D rendering and USB devices.

As with other recent seeds of v10.6.5, 10H555 is arriving two weeks after the previous one. The update may be rapidly nearing a public launch, as it has already spent several months in production. Apple is further expected to announce new Macs on October 20th as part of a special press event, and may want to preload the computers with the most recent iteration of Snow Leopard.

    No Known Issues?

    Anybody know if it fixes the 9400M + USB Headset slowdown issue?

    The one that causes the system to become 40% slower when using any USB headset on a system with a 9400M graphics card?

    It's been in Apple's bug queue for probably more than a year now, and every new report submitted gets a response of 'this is a known issue' and nothing else...

    Being this seems to be all Apple is going to do with this known problem, it leaves me wondering if pretending its a software or driver issue that never gets fixed covers up the fact that there is a serious hardware glitch in Apple's design... One they might be held liable for if it ended up being identified as such...
