Adds natural elements to outdoor scenes
Akvis, well-known for their Photoshop and Paint Shop Pro plug-ins as well as standalone graphic-enhancement programs, have added to their lineup a new product called NatureArt that amplifies and enhances weather and lighting in outdoor pictures, as well as letting users create nature scenes from scratch.
Using six different nature effects, from adding sunlight to creating bodies of water, NatureArt can dramatically improve scenery, replacing washed-out skies with cloud formations or adding lightning, rain and fog to a bleak landscape. Other effects, from stars to oceans to fire, can be added to liven up flat pictures.
The company plans to add additional natural effects as time goes on, but already offers presets for snow, moonlight, waves and stars, as well as fine adjustments on all the effects, for example allowing rain to appear as anything from drizzle to torrential downpours.
The program is offered in two versions, as a standalone application for Mac and PC as well as a plug-in compatible with Adobe's Photoshop and Photoshop Elements. The company offers a variety of licensing options depending on use, and a 10-day free trial is available. Registered users of other Akvis programs can get a 20 percent discount on the product.
