Update brings new defences, undead enemies
Mac game publisher Freeverse has released a sequel to their popular "tower defense" game, Hordes of Orcs. The new version features improved graphics and performance, an overhauled user interface, a new railgun tower and new undead enemies.
The game features variations on the tower defense theme, including four magic spells and six different game modes (such as Capture the Flag, Open Warfare and Maze Defense). There is also a zoom button to watch battles close-up.
Hordes of Orcs 2 sells for $20 for Mac (Universal) and PC. Mac requirements include OS X 10.3.9 or higher, Intel GMA950 video chipset or better, 384MB of RAM and at least a 1.83GHz processor. A free demo is available.
