CleverFiles launches Disk Drill beta, recovers lost media

updated 03:40 pm EDT, Tue October 5, 2010

Software supports HFS, HFS+, NTFS, FAT

CleverFiles Software has launched a public beta of its Mac data recovery software, Disk Drill. Disk Drill can recover lost data and deleted files and offers its Recovery Vault data loss prevention feature which tracks data constantly, providing more info for the software when recovering a lost file. It offers quick scans and deep scans for files that do not appear in the quick scan. It can work on all file systems -- HFS/HFS+/NTFS/FAT and both hard disks and flash media and can overcome corrupted file systems. Because Disk Drill is programmed with binary signatures of most media types, it can recognize files on drives that have lost or damaged directories.

Disk Drill requires Mac OS X 10.5 and is 64-bit compatible. The beta version is free and non-expiring. CleverFiles is offering free lifetime licenses to all users that provide active feedback during the beta test.
