Most Target stores to get 20-30 iPads in first wave

High-traffic locations to get 50-80 devices

Most Target stores may only be stocked with 20 to 30 iPads in the first wave of shipments that will arrive on October 3. Some of the heavy-traffic locations are expected to get more supplies, ranging from 50 to 80 devices, while all stores will get "ample accessories."

Although earlier reports suggested the brick-and-mortar retailer would only offer four of the six iPad variants, a document allegedly circulated to employees suggests all six models will be stocked for the first day of availability.

Pricing through Target will match Apple's store, but customers can receive a 5 percent discount if the device is purchased after October 17 on a Target credit card. [via CNET]

I can see it in my local Target now...

In 1 day, that poor demo iPad will be covered with caramel and have 1,001 fingerprints.
