Newer Technology unveils full iPhone 4 case lineup

updated 07:20 pm EDT, Tue September 28, 2010

Soft and hard cases plus anti-glare film offered

Despite a late start, Newer Technology has joined the fray of companies offering custom iPhone 4 cases, today unveiling four different types of soft and hard cases along with a new anti-glare and backing film to reduce scratching.

The NuGuard line of cases consist of a soft silicone version ($15) featuring side grooves to improve grip, available in black, red, blue and frost; a carbon fiber version ($25) which sports open port and control access, available in black, pink and blue; a hard-shell polycarbonate case ($15) that claims more impact resistance than acrylic, available in clear or trasparent black, and a gel case ($15) that blends the feel of silicone with shell-level protection, available in black, blue, pink and clear.

In addition, the company offers NuVue Anti-Glare Screen & Back Protector ($13), a multilayer optical-grade film said to reduce eye strain, improving viewing in bright light setting and reduce surface tension (for easier gaming). The film sports precision cuts to expose both iPhone 4 cameras and the flash. The kit includes cleaning products to remove existing fingerprints and smudges prior to the application of the film.

All the new products can be ordered from exclusive distributor Other World Computing or independent retail outlets.
