Sync calendars between Macs and mobile devices
Nova Media has released iHub, a new tool for automatically syncing contacts and calendars between the Mac and multiple mobile devices such as the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. The software is capable of sharing information wirelessly, and supports both Wi-Fi and Ethernet connections. It can be used to share existing address book groups, and can instantly sync any changes as long as an internet connection is available. Users can also make changes while offline, which will automatically sync once a connection is re-established.
Other features include the ability to run invisibly in the background, and a built-in auto-save function that saves and stores contacts and calendars from the last 14 days. The program is also designed to transfer directly from one device to another, avoiding any type of cloud construct, and preventing a copy of the information from being retained anywhere besides the user’s designated device.
iHub requires Mac OS X 10.6 or higher to install, but can sync with Mac OS X 10.5 or later. It’s priced at $30 for a single user license, and offers a downloadable demo-version.
