LG E900/Optimus 7 gets 20-minute video preview

LG E900/Optimus 7 shown in 20-minute video

The upcoming LG E900 smartphone, only thus far seen in leaks, has shown up in another unofficial video. The device, which is also being called the Optimus 7 by the source but doesn't resemble it, was the star of a recent, Russian-language YouTube video (embedded below). The confusion in names was partially fueled by a Microsoft "leak" of the device carrying both designations. Powered by Windows Phone 7, the video seems to showcase the operating system itself rather than any specific features of the handset.

The E900 may possibly be powered by a 1.3GHz Snapdragon chip and get a 3.7-inch capacitive touchscreen. It is said to bring multi-mode 3G along with assisted GPS.

The Optimus 7 may also handle DLNA+ media sharing via gestures. While this device was acknowledged by LG, detailed specs still aren't available. It is expected to record 720p video through its five-megapixel camera and get a display resolution of 800x480. A slide-out hardware QWERTY keyboard is also believed to be part of the specs in that device where the E900 is touch-only.

The video at least confirms the existence of a working E900 or Optimus 7 handset, which appears to be very ready for a market release. [via MobileTechWorld]
