Boxee Box spotted undergoing FCC testing
The upcoming Boxee Box has shown up at the FCC, undergoing approval testing. The appearance indicates that the media hub is indeed on course for an admittedly delayed November release. The device promises to act as either a companion device that will let users stream files stored on a Mac or PC or solely from online.
In the standalone mode, the box should have the ability to access both video and online music services such as Last.fm, Pandora and more. The box will be powered by an Intel Atom CE4100 chip that can play 1080p videos while supporting Flash 10.1 video.
The Boxee Box is expected to carry a $200 price tag by the time the device launches under the D-Link brand in November.
