Noise Industries announces LensPack video editing plug-ins

updated 01:05 am EDT, Thu September 23, 2010

Up to five video-altering plug-ins

Noise Industries has announced LensPack, a new collection of five video editing plug-ins developed by SUGARfx. The new tools are designed to extend the visual effects capabilities of powerful photo and video editing programs such as Adobe After Effects, Final Cut Pro, Apple Motion, and Final Cut Express. Features range from a Distorium plug-in that distorts footage for a more 3D effect, to improving and increasing lens distortion when shooting in wide-angle mode via the Optico plug-in.

Other features include a Loupe plug-in which automatically replicates the magnification effect in the selected part of a video clip, and a Cheap Lens plug-in that emulates a variety of different effects such as blurred focus, Vaseline glow, chroma distortion, lens scratches, and reflections. Finally, the last plug-in in the group is called Horizon Line, and offers an auto-rotation tool for straightening footage.

LensPack is compatible with Mac OS X 10.6 or higher, and is available from either Noise Industries or SUGARfx for $100.
