Displays, cameras also compared
Despite newer hardware launches, the iPad is still the fastest iOS device when it comes to booting from a cold start, a Czech site notes. A video demonstration shows the tablet reaching its lock screen in 19.04 seconds, as compared to 26.4 seconds for the fourth-generation iPod touch. The iPhone 4 takes 28.64 seconds, while the iPhone 3GS is even slower, clocking in at 32.8.
Other tests compare video recording on the Touch against the iPhone 4, and the devices' relative display quality. In the latter case the iPhone has a distinct advantage, as its IPS panel keeps colors more consistent at different angles. People may prefer the video recording on the Touch however, as it produces deeper blacks.

Excuse me....
But the iPad is running a different OS variant than the others, iOS 3.2. Therefore, that alone could be the difference.
How about comparing start times with other iOS 3 devices?
Oh, and how often does one actually 'launch' their iDevice? Rarely if ever?
