MacUpdate offers September Bundle: $400 in software for $50

updated 04:50 pm EDT, Wed September 8, 2010

Toast 10 Titanium is headliner software in bundle

MacUpdate launches 10-title bundle of software for $50. Total cost would be $400, and two extra titles are available for early buyers.

MacUpdate has launched its latest highly discounted software bundle, with Toast 10 disk-burning software headlining the sale. The two-week promotion offers 10 Mac applications for $50. It starts today and runs through September 22. The sale includes 10 software titles, including Toast, and has two additional titles for early buyers -- the first 10,000 purchasers get two additional applications for free. Day one of the sale already has over 3,000 purchases.

The headliner, Toast Titanium 10 --$100-- burns DVDs, CDs and Blu-rays. Blu-ray burning is a rare feature on the Mac side, and Toast is easily the best-known software for burning the high-data disks, a capability that is still not included in bundled Mac software. It also converts old media to current forms and supports coding media for iOS devices.

Live Interior 3D --$50-- is interior deign software that supports 2D and 3D designs. It helps users work out a new set-up when moving furniture before starting the physical work. My Living Desktop 4 --$35-- is desktop software that uses video instead of a static picture on the desktop. It ships with 26 Serene Scenes and supports imported home videos too.

Espionage 2 --$35-- offers folder-by-folder encryption. Instead of keeping the entire User Folder encrypted, Espionage 2 allows users to encrypt only the specific folder or folders needed. Share Tool 2 --$25-- securely extends Bonjour services across the web, allowing users to access work volumes from home or home volumes when traveling.

Get Backup Pro 2.4.1 --$40-- is disk cloning, backup and file sync software - it has automation and supports four encryption standards. Cashculator 1.2.4 --$30-- is personal finance software focused on financial forecasting. MindNode Pro 1.5.3 --$25-- is mind and idea mapping software, useful for brainstorming, research and planning.

Concentrate 1.1.5 --$30-- is productivity software that automates opening needed applications while shutting down unneeded software for a task. It also opens/blocks specific websites and opens needed documents. It can set chat status, Growl status and run scripts. Voila 3 --$30-- is screen capture software. It allows annotations and can share captures with others.

The first 10,000 buyers get Vitamin-R --$20-- a productivity application focused on creativity, and Compartments --$25-- a home inventory application with features like Quick Add and Smart Collections.

For the first 10,000 buyers, with the two bonus software titles, a $50 purchase grants the buyer $445 in software.
