updated 07:20 pm EDT, Tue September 7, 2010

Stability and security improved

Apple has released several maintenance updates for Safari and iWeb. Safari 5.0.2 brings improvements to security and compatibility. The latest version fixes an bug that had prevented users from submitting web forms in certain circumstances, while a Google Images issue with Flash 10.1 has also been resolved.

Safari 5.0.2 for Windows now supports an encrypted, authenticated connection to the Safari Extensions Gallery. Mac OS X Tiger users can download Safari 4.1.2, which also brings improvements to compatibility and security.

Safari 3.0.2 refines the comment and search functions for blogs and podcasts published to MobileMe. The update also resolves several bugs related to site publishing via MobileMe.

The Safari and iWeb updates are now available from Apple's Support site or through Software Update.
