Update long rumored
A listing for an iLife '11 Family Pack has actually been floating around Amazon.com for several weeks, observers note. The entry claims a $99 pricetag, and a shipping time of two to four weeks. It should in fact be possible to go through with an order, even though Apple has yet to announce iLife '11 or begin selling its own copies.
The listing dates back to July 27th, which may suggest a simple mistake rather than any progress or delay in the software's arrival. Around the same time, though, a book titled iLife '10 for Dummies briefly appeared at Amazon France before being removed. The future iLife update was rumored to be going 64-bit, while dropping iDVD as a default app. The same claim also pointed to an August 7th launch, however.

I hope this is true, I've been waiting for an updated iLife for like 2 years now, but Apple's been on this iOS loving rampage and ignoring the Mac for awhile and it's been upsetting. I'm hoping to see many fixes in iWeb especially, and I hope they make all the apps 64 bit. Oh yea and Apple, why not make iTunes for Mac 64 bit too like you did for the Windows version like 3 years ago?
