Apple optimizes Movie Trailers page for HTML5

Portal now offers showtimes, locations
Apple has expanded its Movie Trailers page with new features based on iOS-friendly HTML5 standards. The portal now includes a Showtimes page that provides a variety of information regarding closest theaters and movie schedules. Users can input a zip code and pick a theater, or allow the site to determine the closest theater.
The Showtimes interface presents current movies on the right side of the layout. Clicking on a movie brings up the showtimes, with discount matinée times highlighted in green. Along with the showtime information, the new page includes a Google Maps interface for finding directions to the selected theater.
Visitors can also click on a "Get Tickets" button to buy tickets via Fandango.com, while contact information is listed for theaters that are not connected to Fandango. [via AppleInsider]
