Update brings new social networking features
Apple has released iTunes 10, a major update to the media utility that was introduced today alongside several new iPods. The update features a social networking feature, Ping, that allows users to follow friends and artists. Users can post music they like, concert attendance, genre interests, and a variety of additional information.
New terms for TV show rentals now allow HD episodes to be rented for $0.99, rather than requiring users to pay $3 for an outright purchase. Version 10 also brings support for AirPlay, a wireless standard for wireless music distribution through home theater equipment.
iTunes 10 is now available as a free download for Mac or Windows systems.

Gray icons
My first impression was that the new all-gray icons are really sad-looking, not to mention harder to tell apart. I'm not impressed with the new look.
