TARMAC offers secure OTA setup for iPhone
NewerTech has lowered prices for its battery charging and conditioning stations, while Equinux has updated its TARMAC system for over-the-air (OTA) enterprise configuration of iPads and iPhones.
NewerTech has announced that it has lowered the MSRP for its entire line of battery charging/conditioning stations. The savings, which ranged up to 33 percent off the previous prices, applies to chargers for a variety of 13-, 15-, and 17-inch MacBooks or MacBook Pros, several iBooks and a range of PowerBooks. The charging stations are designed to keep the batteries in optimal charged condition for maximum runtime. All of the chargers are available exclusively from Other World Computing.
Equinux intros TARMAC 1.2 enterprise software for iOS devices
Equinux has released an updated to TARMAC, a provisioning utility for iOS devices. Version 1.2 brings enhanced security for businesses attempting to remotely configure iPhones and iPads using over-the-air (OTA) management. The update is said to smooth the process of distributing the devices over the Simple Certificate Enrollment Protocol (SCEP). The utility works in conjunction with TARMAC Enterprise Server, which is available for a suggested retail price of $2,450.
