Steelhead Mobile adds Mac support
MOTU has announce that its MasterWorks Collection of audio plug-ins is now shipping, while an update to Steelhead Mobile, featuring Mac OS X support, has been released by Riverbed Technology
The MasterWorks Collection of audio plug-ins from MOTU is now shipping and can be obtained through the company's online store. The bundle includes three audio plug-ins that can be used with any application that supports RTAS, Audio Units, and VST3 audio plug-ins, such as Pro Tools, Logic Pro, and Cubase. Featured in the collection is MasterWorks EQ, a modelled British analog EQ, MasterWorks Leveler, a model of the Teletronix LA-2A optical levelling amplifier, and ProVerb, a tool that can simulate the sound characteristics of different acoustic spaces. Each plug-in supports mono, stereo, and surround channel configurations, along with the ability to share presets between different applications. The MasterWorks Collection requires Mac OS X 10.5 or later and can be purchased for $300.
Steelhead Mobile update adds Mac OS X support
Riverbed Technology has announced the availability of a new Steelhead Mobile release, which includes support for Mac OS X. The software allows companies to provide mobile workers LAN-like access to files and applications, while the v3.1 brings optimized performance for Citrix virtual desktop setups and support for Mac-based desktops and laptops. The new Mac platform has been built on the same Riverbed Optimization System that runs other Steelhead applications, allowing users to accelerate any application, independent of the underlying OS. Additionally, Steelhead Mobile 3.1 includes support for optimizing Windows applications running in VMware Fusion.
