Sources debate which iPod will feature the LCD
The purported touchscreen for the next iPod nano has surfaced yet again in a new video, which also shows the alleged LCD cover for the next iPod touch. The video appears to show the same 1.7-inch touchscreen that has been linked in earlier rumors to the next-generation iPod nano or Shuffle, although the most recent reports lean toward a shrunken Nano.
Sources and leaked images suggest the sixth-generation Nano will drop its click wheel in favor of a touch-based interface, allowing the housing volume to be slashed down to the approximate size of the second-generation Shuffle. The device is said to retain a price close to the current Nano, which ranges from $149 to $179 depending on the capacity.
Apple is expected to disclose full details at its Wednesday media event. [via 9to5Mac]
