Pricy Mac Pros and iMac woes

An ongoing discussion about the affordability of the modern Mac Pro can be found here, where users debate what may have caused the differences in cost between older PowerMacs and current generation Mac Pros. One fresh-faced recruit to the MacNN forums asked a question that may be on many new Mac owners minds, "What antivirus programs are people using on their Macs?", read more in this thread, or provide a little input.

Forum goer Lattimer is trying to troubleshoot their iMac that displays a kernel panic message, which has been included in the thread titled "Is this bad?" and is reaching out to others for some advice. Another hot topic is "Netflix for the iPhone" which seems to be getting a positive response from anyone who has used it, jane66 says it's "totally cool, watched part of my first movie, no problem with 3G". A debate about whether iMacs can handle graphic intense processing such as gaming continues in the thread titled "can iMacs handle intense graphics work", see what others have to say or voice an opinion of your own.

Its an interesting world. As more and more windows users move over to the Mac side, there will continue to be these..topics of conversation....

People that want a Vulvo for the price of a pinto,
People that want magic pills to cure lack of exercise.
People that want something different but do not want to change.

Just saw that "Think different " commercial.. It says it all.

More importantly, saying someone is a 'fresh-faced recruit' is pointless, since almost everyone on this site is listed as such.

Wouldn`t it be funny if, as the user base of Apple slowly increases, malware and viruses began to emerge, requiring Apple users to run anti-virus software? Take all you arrogant Apple fans down a peg or two.

    Just a thought,

    Wrenchy.

Wake me up if it ever happens.

Wouldn't it be funny if the Mac OS were inherently more safe and secure than the Windows OS? Oh wait, that's already true. Never mind.
