Kiwi Wifi/Bluetooth released

Kensington has announced that seven more of its products have received official iPhone 4 certification, while PLX Devices has released two new products for syncing information between a vehicle's onboard diagnostics port and either an iOS or Android based device.

Kensington has announced that seven more of its products have received official iPhone 4 certification. The certified products include items designed for use at home, in the office, on-the-go, and in the car. The Kensington Charge and Sync Dock ($30) and Nightstand Charging Dock ($40) both provide users with options for charging their mobile device, while the Quick Release Car Mount ($30) and SoundWave ($40) allow users to mount and amplify their iPhone in the car.

Additionally, three new battery pack options have been announced, including the Charging Dock with Mini Battery Pack ($70), Travel Battery Pack and Charger ($70), and Mini Battery Pack and Charger ($40). All seven products are currently available through Kensington's online store as pre-orders; official shipping dates are yet to be announced.

PLX Devices has also released two new products for wirelessly connecting an iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Android mobile phone to a vehicle's onboard diagnostic port. The Kiwi is a small hardware piece that installs into any automobile built after 1996 and can send speed, RPM, engine load, real-time dyne, and engine check diagnostics information to a mobile device. Users of the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch can take advantage of this by using Kiwi Wi-Fi ($149) and a supported app from the App Store including DashCommand ($50, App Store), SpeedPORT ($30, App Store) and FuzzyCar (free, App Store). Alternatively, Android devices can be connected using the Kiwi Bluetooth ($99) and a compatible app from the Android Market.
