Atlona AT-PCLink sends UWB video, audio up to 30'

Atlona this week revealed that its AT-PCLink Wireless USB KVM switch is now shipping. The device works with Macs and PCs to wirelessly send DVI, USB and stereo audio signals up to 30 feet away using the Ultra Wide Band (UWB) standard. Users can plug in the switch to place their keyboards and mice away from their TVs or displays and computers.

Notebooks can also extend their working space to larger monitors further away, and either extend or mirror their desktops for presentations. Users can send the signals of a monitor, keyboard, mouse and speakers using the wireless link thanks to the single adapter that plugs into a USB port. Connections include two USB ports, a 3.5mm audio port and a DVI port.

It supports a maximum resolution of 1440x1050, and the operation is plug and play, with no software installation required. The speed of the connection is also said to be fast enough to stream videos and surf the web.

The device is now shipping, priced at $169.

Not plug & play and no Mac drivers yet

    This article says:

However the info on the Altona website says:
    > Select Install Wireless USB Software...

Software would have to be installed to get a machine's video to go out through a USB port.
