Monkeybread updates REALbasic plug-ins

Adobe has announced that its online set of Photoshop Express apps have undergone some revisions, while Monkeybread Software has released an updated set of its MBS plug-ins for REALbasic

A redesigned set of Photoshop Express apps, including Express Editor, Express Organizer, and Express Uploader, have been released on Photoshop.com. Previously, all Photoshop.com functions required users to register for an account. Registration is now necessary only for storing photos online and creating or sharing galleries, meaning anyone can make use of the Photoshop Express Editor. The Editor has been updated with support for uploading files directly from a hard drive, applying edits, and saving the resulting file without ever replacing the original. The revised Organizer includes new slideshow function that provides users with additional customization options. Also featured in the reworked set of apps is the Photoshop Express Uploader, a small utility that streamlines the process of syncing photos between the hard drive and Photshop.com.

MBS plug-in 10.4 adds 31 new classes and thousands of other changes

Monkeybread Software has released a new update to its MBS plug-in for REALbasic. The suite features more than 30,000 functions that are spread across some 1,400 classes, providing REALbasic developers with an extensive list of tools for building software for all three major platforms. Version 10.4 is said to be a major update and features 31 new classes, along with a wide variety of other new features. Some of the added classes include MacUSBDeviceMBS, NSPasteboardMBS, and ComplexDoubleMBS, along with several XLS classes that can be used to retrieve strings and numbers from Excel files. A full list of documented changes, additions, and fixes can be found on the Monkeybread website. The plug-ins require REALbasic 2006r4 or newer and can be purchased online as smaller components for $29 each, or as a complete package for $285.
