Beta offers low-res PDF e-mail attachments option
Zevrix has launched a public beta for File Courier 2.0, a major upgrade to the company's automatic digital delivery software. File Courier delivers files and folders to remote or local destinations via FTP, with automatic delivery confirmation via e-mail. It offers automatic Zip or disk image compression, along with detailed delivery histories for later reference. The software supports drag-and-drop file migration, allowing the File Courier icon to be used for quickly sending files.
The beta of v2.0 adds SFTP, WebDAV, MobileMe and Amazon S3 uploading, as well as new templates for e-mail notification. It also delivers files via e-mail as an option, while allowing users to attach a low-resolution PDF to deliveries. Version 2 also offers disk-image encryption and integration with Zevrix's Batch Output for InDesign, enabling additional automation functionality when working in the Adobe application.
File Courier 2.0b3 requires Mac OS X 10.5 or higher. Version 1.5 currently costs $20, while the beta is free. Qualified beta testers will get 50 percent off the v2.0 cost, or a free upgrade from v1.5.
