Version 3 gets Tabs, Google Font API support, more

The Escapers has released a major update to its web design software, Flux 3. The design application is HTML5 based and offers Web 2.0 and AJAX. Users can drag and drop to create websites in the WYSIWYG editor -- XHTML and CSS is supported, but not required by Flux for building sites. Java actions and QuickTime and Flash embeds are also supported and editing can be done fully through FTP or SFTP.

Version 3 adds rich HTML5 support, including HTML5 video, for iOS content creation. Flux's Page Designer gets tab support, for offering tabbed views of pages within a website. It also adds WebKit support and a Widget Palette for creating galleries and using Dojo widgets. Plug-ins now offer limited support for Coda in addition to Flux offerings. Google Font API support and List and Tree views in File Manager are also new.

Mac OS X 10.5 is required, with Mac OS X 10.6 recommended, alongside at least 512MB of RAM. Flux 3 is €70, about $90, and a family license is €100, about $130.
