Archos to bring five Android tablets to IFA

Portable media player maker Archos has announced that it will unveil five new Android tablets at the IFA show in Berlin that kicks off at the start of September. This is expected to include the 2.8-inch Archos 28 and the 3.2-inch Archos 32, the second of which was recently spotted undergoing FCC testing. It's also likely that the Archos 7 and 8 home tablets will also be demonstrated at the show.

All are powered by Android, with the home tablets using an ARM9 chip, and the Archos 32 powered by an ARM8 CPU. The multimedia capable devices will have access to Android apps and the ability to communicate with other devices.

Earlier this spring, Archos said that it will release six Android tablets in the near future. Pricing is said to range from $100 to $350, with screens sized at between 2.8 and 10 inches. [via Pocket-Lint]
