Blu-Ray burning solution, FCP 7 tested
Japan’s Logitec has developed a Blu-Ray upgrade drive solution for Mac Pros. The LBD-A12SAK/MW kit includes a copy of Roxio Toast Titanium 10, which adds Blu-ray burning support to the Mac line in lieu of any official support for Blu-ray from Apple. It has been tested with Final Cut Pro 7 and is capable of authoring a 24GB BD-Video disc in 10 minutes.
The 12X speed SATA drive is compatible with Mac Pros running OS X 10.4 or later and retails for 24,800 yen or about $290 plus shipping.

Why can't Apple wake up?
If the MacPro is indeed the choice for video professionals- why hasn't Apple at least had an option for this? sorry- but, someone is producing the Blu-ray discs- and why not on a Mac?
And- the inability to view them on laptops? What- we're supposed to buy movies 2x?
C'mon- stop drinking the coolaid- the rest of the world has accepted it.
