iPad shipping window shrinks to 3 to 5 days

Supply problems ease


Apple has lowered the official shipping times for iPads on sale through its online store. Orders were previously listed as shipping in a space of 7 to 10 business days. The Apple website now shows models as shipping in 3 to 5 days, roughly half the duration.

Since the launch of the iPad in April, Apple has had a difficult time meeting demand. Retail outlets have often been low or out of stock, and online delivery times have occasionally been measurable in weeks. In May, for instance, international iPad orders were switched to a vague "June" timeframe, before being given the 7- to 10-day schedule in mid-June.

    This means iPad sales are tanking in anticipation of the Android tablets coming out real soon. Lol! iPad is an epci fail and this news proves it.

    After the initial demand, sales are slowing. Wow, that is a shocker. It's only what you'd expect from any device released with big fanfare and lines on start day.

    Or did you really think they were going to sell 200,000 every day for a year?
