New iOS apps

iHome has released a new iPhone app that provides access to thousands of Internet radio streams, while Second Gear has released a new text editor for the iPhone and iPad.


iHome has launched a new Internet radio app for the iPhone and iPod touch, iHome+Radio. The title takes advantage of iOS 4 by supporting background audio, and playback control from the task switcher. Through RadioTime users have access to thousands of stations, covering music, talk, sports, and news content around the world. Streaming is currently supported in MP3 or AAC format; expanded support is under development.

Elements brings text editing with Dropbox integration to iPhone and iPad

A new plain text editor has been released for the iPhone and iPad. Elements highlights Dropbox integration as a primary feature, allowing online storage, access and sync of files. The app also includes options for customizing appearance to better fit personal workflow, and smaller features like autosaving, word counts and TextExpander touch support. Elements currently costs $5 at the App Store.
