Nokia 5250 shows up, to replace the 5230?

Nokia may soon replace its entry-level touchscreen phone, the 5230 with a 5250. Not much is known about the device, other than that it will sport a touchscreen and a design that's close to the outgoing model's. Which market the device will launch in is also a question mark, as the company was expected to change its four-digit naming convention to two-character alphanumeric designations, according to a leaked slide.

The image also shows some kind of contest, but details on this are also unavailable. The 5250 is more appealing to the eye than the 5230 and should retain or improve upon some of its features, which include a 3G data connection, data-assisted GPS, a two-megapixel camera, a 640x360 touch display and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It should cost the equivalent of $213 contract-free.
