Rover Puck 4G router hits FCC

Clearwire is nearing the addition of an extra compact 4G router on top of its slightly larger Spot 4G models. The Rover Puck has turned up at the FCC for approval and would be very small with a namesake thin, circular design measuring just a few inches in diameter. It would nonetheless tap into Clear's WiMAX network and share it with multiple devices over Wi-Fi.

Little else is divulged by the filing, but it would have battery power and has a micro USB port, presumably to turn the Puck into a USB modem for a single computer. Most such routers usually have Mac and Windows support for at least router features. FCC approvals for devices usually appear with no more than a few months' lead time before the actual ship date; the timing hints that Rover's device could ship by the fall. [via Engadget]

Want want want! Hopefully the monthly charges won't be abusive and the coverage will be reasonable.

    I thought Rover made cars?

Interesting to see that British car maker, Rover, have moved into electronics. I suppose once they trade marked the name "Rover" they could turn it to anything they wanted...

So let's think about the damage this will cause, in addition to the radiation to the brain from the mobile phones we use every day. . . What was that you said, Doctor? I have a Tumor in my Brain?!?! OMG, and a Tumor in my Ball Sack!?!? Well First Priority is my Balls Doc, what needs to be done for that, needs to be done right now!!!!
