Apple offers Mac OS X 10.6.4 for new iMacs

Update contains fixes specifically for new Macs


Apple on Tuesday released a special version of its Mac OS X 10.6.4 Update for the new 2010 iMacs. Recommended for all users of recently announced iMac (Mid 2010), the update contains all the applicable fixes from the Mac OS X 10.6.4 Update as well as well as specific fixes for iMac (Mid 2010), including resolving compatibility and performance-related graphics issues, improved compatibility with large-format SDXC memory cards, and new support for Magic Trackpad.

Earlier today, the company released several drivers that bring support for the company's new Magic Trackpad. Mac and Windows users will be able to take advantage of the standalone Magic Trackpad, which supports the entire range of MacBook gestures such as two-finger scrolling and three-finger swiping.
