Improved network volume integration
Thursby has launched two new updates to its line of Mac networking products, ADmitMac 5.1 and DAVE 8.1. ADmitMac allows Mac users to take advantage of all the directory services provided by Microsoft's Active Directory, while DAVE is a cross-platform file and printer sharing solution that uses the industry standard TCP/IP protocol. In the latest release both programs offer improved network volume integration for popular Mac apps such as Final Cut Pro and Adobe’s Creative Suite, as well as greater compatibility for the Microsoft Distributed File System (DFS).
Additionally, both ADmitMac 5.1 and DAVE 8.1 feature improved identity and access management from either PC or Mac sides, which is done so by including additional support for Microsoft Active Directory/Group Policy Objects (GPO) and for Mac Workgroup Manager (WGM).
Both programs are compatible with Mac OS X 10.5 or higher, and are priced at $120 for DAVE or $150 for ADmitMac.
