Update combines Working Copy and Synchronize views
Syncro Soft today updated its Subversion client, launching Syncro SVN Client 6.0. The software eases document and code sharing between developers. It can browse repositories, check for changes and track version histories. It can also track resources, examining history and identifying where a problem occurred, and resolve conflicts using a three-way editor to merge files. It further provides bug tracking and revision graphing.
Version 6.0 should run faster with larger projects, as it uses 60 percent less memory. It also sports a redesigned interface; the Working Copy and Synchronize views, for instance, have been combined. The new Working Copy view allows columns to be removed or reordered to give the best look at information. A History view is new, as are guiding hints.
Mac requirements include a G4 chip and 512MB of RAM, with Mac OS X 10.4 and at least Java 1.5. An individual client costs $60, though volume discounts are available. At the upper end, a client site license is $2,970.
