Google to bring carrier billing to Android Market
Google has recently said it will change the Android Market Developer Distribution Agreement (DDA) to include other forms of payment. This will most significantly include carrier billing, which is welcome news to Android developers. Thus far, only T-Mobile subscribers in the USA can pay for their Android Market purchases in their monthly bill.
These changes are being applied in 30 days, which likely means Google will officially introduce the carriers that are allowing Android Market billing before the end of August. Whether the new changes will apply to carriers outside of the US isn't clear.
Buyers currently need to purchase apps using Google's Checkout service that necessitates them to punch in their credit card information. [via Softpedia]
