Apple to open new Lexington, Columbus retail stores

updated 12:35 pm EDT, Tue July 20, 2010

Lexington outlet a first

Apple has announced the upcoming opening of two more US retail outlets, scheduled for this Saturday. The first of these will take place in Lexington, Kentucky, giving the city its very first Apple Store. The outlet is based in the Fayette Mall, at 3401 Nicholasville Road; unusually, Apple has not yet posted hours beyond the grand opening, which will run from 10AM to 9PM.

The other store is a second for Columbus, Ohio, this time based in the Polaris Fashion Place at 1500 Polaris Parkway. Friday and Saturday hours will stretch from 10AM to 9:30PM. Regular Monday to Thursday hours will last from 10AM to 9PM, and on Sunday the shop will be open only from 12PM to 6PM. Neither the Polaris nor the Fayette outlets have any scheduled workshops.
