updated 09:35 pm EDT, Mon July 19, 2010

App said to be slated for Tuesday release

File Maker Inc, an Apple subsidiary, is set to launch two mobile apps, both titled FileMaker Go, for the iPad and iPhone platforms, according to an AppleInsider report. The apps will provide tools for remotely viewing, editing, or searching content contained in FileMaker Pro databases.

The mobile apps support a variety of standard FileMaker features such as portals, tab controls, QuickFind, web viewers, and external SQL data sources, among others. The utility also syncs information with the databases and switches between layouts and search or sort results in the Form, Table and List views.

FileMaker Go is expected to be released on Tuesday, with the iPhone version available for $25 and the iPad variant priced at $50.
