Warner Bros brings TV shows to Netflix

Warner Bros. and Netflix on Thursday expanded their current streaming partnership. Under the new deal, a number of catalog TV shows have been added to the Netflix choices, while the existing license of catalog movies has been extended until 2011. Netflix' largest part of the agreement now has four-year streaming rights to the complete run of Nip/Tuck.

Some of the other TV shows part of the deal include Veronica Mars, Pushing Daisies and Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. The syndicated TV shows will still be ad-free, and all episodes of the limited-run series are available instantly.

Previously, Netflix has agreed to wait 28 days before releasing Warner Bros' movies in order to let the studio maximize DVD and Blu-ray sales first. Other studios have struck similar bargains but haven't necessarily provided expanded access to the back catalog.
