Customizable permissions for groups and users

SplashData has unveiled a new Enterprise Edition of SplashID, its secure password management utility. The software is designed to enable IT managers to control the administration of password and security policies, across multiple platforms. Major features include a built-in administrative control panel, and customizable permissions for both groups and individual users. A centralized secure database is used to store all sorts of information ranging from documents to passwords, and provides multiple layers of encryption including 256-bit AES.

Additionally, the app includes a built-in password generator, and offers support for both Windows and Mac computers, along with the MySQL server on Windows, Mac, and Linux. However, unlike the original version of Splash HD, compatibility has yet to be provided for securing information on mobile platforms such as the iPhone and iPad.

SplashID Enterprise is available on a per-seat basis, and priced at $12 for a single license.
