iPhone 4 set to launch in Spain on July 28

updated 06:50 pm EDT, Thu July 8, 2010

Pricing remains uncertain

The iPhone 4 may be set to launch in Spain on July 28, according to several tweets posted by the local carrier Movistar. The posts do not guarantee the particular launch date, however the company suggests it should be accurate as long as the device does not encounter any supply hiccups.

The company has yet to provide any pricing information for the handsets. The tweets even suggest that Steve Jobs does not yet know the prices for the Movistar release.

If the timing is accurate, July 28 may serve as the launch date in a variety of other countries. The iPhone 4 was initially promised to land in 18 countries by the end of July. Others include Australia, Austria, Canada, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, China, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.
