MobileMe iDisk app adds iPad support, iOS 4 capabilities

updated 05:55 pm EDT, Tue July 6, 2010

Universal app now works on iPhone or iPad

Apple has released an update to its MobileMe iDisk utility, which now works as a universal app for the iPhone or iPad. Multi-tasking support has been added for any iPhone 4 or 3GS running iOS 4. Users can quickly switch between iDisk and other apps, while iDisk audio content can be played while using another app.

Version 1.2 now displays the file or directory that was viewed before the app was last used. Other new features include e-mail sharing from any configured account, and an option to open iDisk documents in other compatible apps.

MobileMe iDisk is now available as a free download on the App Store. The service requires a MobileMe subscription.

    Agreed about Gallery

I totally agree about the Gallery app. Much needed.

This new iDisk app is very nice. It compares favorably with the DropBox app.
