New store second in the state, 295th overall
Apple's latest retail store is set to open Saturday, July 10th in Greenville, South Carolina. The outlet will only be the second in the state after a Charleston location, and will also mark Apple's 295th store opening according to ifoAppleStore, following fast on the heels of last week's 294th launch in Paris. The Greenville shop is situated at 700 Haywood Road in the Haywood Mall, on the lower level of the Sears wing, next to Abercrombie & Fitch.
Originally slated for a 2007 arrival, the store at one point had its site changed to nearby start-up Magnolia Park Towncenter. When Magnolia Park construction ended due to the recession, plans reversed back to Haywood Mall.
Grand opening is set for 10AM, with regular hours of operation running from 10AM to 9PM Monday through Saturday. On Sunday, the store's hours are 12:30PM to 6PM. No workshops have yet been announced. Store openings often see long lines, and offers of free t-shirts or other giveaways for early day-one customers.
