iPhone should have relatively little impact
A conference call for Apple's third-quarter results will be held on Tuesday, July 20th, the company says. Although actual participation in the call is being limited to invited parties, Apple is as usual hosting a live QuickTime stream via its website. The presentation is set to begin at 2PM Pacific time on the 20th, or 5PM Eastern. Rebroadcasts should be available for several days afterward.
Analysts are in general expecting good performance from the corporation in terms of profits and units sold, but the iPhone 4 should have little impact on the bottom line. Pre-orders for the device only began on June 15th, and most home deliveries only started arriving on the 23rd and the 24th. More significant to results should be the iPad, which first went on sale April 3rd and has since gained a 3G model and international distribution.
