Import cover art from web browsers
AlpineSoft has launched a new version of its audio digitizing software, VinylStudio 7.5. The program is designed to record material from tapes and LPs, and convert the sound into digital files that can be stored in a library. The latest release offers a variety of new features including an improved user-interface, and support for a wider range of file formats such as AIFF, FLAC, CAF, AAC, and WMA. Additionally new file-importing and user-requested changes have also been provided.
With the added import functionality users can now retrieve cover art directly from a web browser, and carry the art over via drag-and-drop. One of the more requested new features is the ability to play songs at a reduced speed, in order to hear those hard-to-find clicks.
VinylStudio 7.5 requires Mac OS X 10.4 or later, and is priced at $30. A free trial version is also available for new users, and can be downloaded from the company’s website.
