Apple posts iOS 4 fix for Exchange sync issues

updated 10:20 pm EDT, Wed June 30, 2010

Update available as a configuration file

Apple has posted a fix for Exchange sync issues with iOS 4. Many users encountered problems attempting to sync with Exchange ActiveSync Mail, Contacts, or Calendars after updating to iOS 4. The issue reportedly caused a complete failure for some users, or an excessively slow sync for others.

The fix is available as a downloadable configuration profile that corrects the amount of time iOS 4 waits for the Exchange Server to respond to a sync request. The profile can be downloaded directly from the mobile version of Safari and directly loaded onto an iPhone or iPod touch.

How about fixing the bigger issue

Glad to see a fix for something, but getting ready to return our iPhone 4 units and go back to our good-old reliable iPhone 3G units if the "reception issue" (whatever it is) isn't fixed soon.

It's a phone, fixing it to actually be a useful phone should have priority over an Exchange issue... right now it's more of an iAmEverythingButAPhone than an iPhone and AT&T is charging me my monthly fees whether calls go through (...and are intelligible, and don't get dropped) or not.

I'm not putting my phone in a case just to make it work, either. My 3G was never in a case when I was using it (in a Belkin slip case when not in use)... these are beautiful, durable devices that are best appreciated as is (not to mention many accessories have difficulty working with many cases... including the USB cable).

Can you tell I'm starting to get annoyed :/

    iPhone 3G with iOS4 = Error

Hope that arrive some fast fixes for the iOS4 on the iPhone 3G.

Since I upgraded, my iPhone3G are much slower, lots of app just crash (even if they are iOS4 tested), some times my phone just freeze including with iPod App or when using Safari App.

iOS4 works fine with iPhone3GS for what I check with some friends, but on iPhone 3G just sucks!!!

So I waiting for next software upgrade, to fix the "c***" that this new upgrade bring to my old 3G model...

To say something good: Folders work great!!! Good Job here!!!
