updated 09:20 pm EDT, Wed June 30, 2010

High-res icons, fast app switching

Facebook has updated its self-titled iPhone app, which now supports several features in iOS 4. Version 3.1.4 now works with fast app switching, while adding high-resolution icons that take advantage of the iPhone 4's 960x640 display.

Aside from the iOS 4 improvements, the app offers new localizations in Korean and Russian languages. A number of unnamed bugs have also been addressed.

Facebook for iPhone is now available as a free download on the App Store.

Now Facebook is only behind the curve

Hey, Facebook: ever heard of the iPad? It's a real drag having to deal with the iPhone version of the program. TIme to *really* play catch-up!

    Too unstable

I hope this version has fixed the biggest bugs I've run into with the app... like crashing most of the time when I rotate my iPod from portrait to landscape, or accurately show all comments for a post. I usually use their mobile edition of their website in Safari because the app is so buggy.
